Do you take insurance?
The Body Image Therapy Center currently accepts a limited number of Carefirst, Carefirst PPO, Medical Assistance, Tri-Care, and Johns Hopkins Healthcare clients. If you do not have these insurances, most insurances have provisions for 'out of network' mental health benefits. We are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt for services you can file with your insurance for direct reimbursement.
To find out if your insurance will reimburse you for services, call the member benefits number on your insurance card and ask the following:
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- What percentage of the fee will be covered?
- How many visits am I authorized for?
- Where do I mail claims for reimbursement?
What are your fees?
The initial meeting, called a diagnostic interview, is $170. Ongoing therapy is $150 for a 45 minute session unless other arrangements for a sliding scale have been pre-determined. A pre-operative bariatric evaluation is $200. Groups are $40 per session.
Do you offer sliding scale?
Yes, we will work with clients to be sure they get the treatment they need so that finances are not a barrier to effective specialized treatment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, checks, cash and money orders.
