Telehealth Options for Intensive Outpatient Program for Eating Disorders for Adolescents and Adults
During the COVID pandemic, TBITC immediately moved to a telehealth format for our for Adolescent and Adult populations. As a result we found that clients from the Eastern Shore and Southern Maryland to the Western mountains past Hagerstown were able to access care that was unavailable to them before the pandemic. We will continue to provide options for clients to continue to benefit from this service.
Adolescent IOP Program via Telehealth
Adolescent clients whose families reside in Maryland but live more than an hour commute from our Columbia office may participate via telehealth along with our in-person IOP clients. This provides a unique opportunity for children and their parents and loved ones to receive the benefit of intensive care with peer support.
Adult IOP Program via Telehealth
Adults clients who live within a reasonable commute (approximately one hour drive one way) of the Baltimore or DC offices are required to come in person to care. However, those who live further away may participate from home using telehealth services for IOP care only. Those who need Partial Hospital Care must come to program on site. If commuting is not a viable options, adults may benefit from our Transitional Living apartments until they step down to IOP and return home to continue care via telehealth.
